This is Gogplay. Starting this year (2024), the Google Play space seems to be much quieter. With the further reshuffle of the industry and the continuous increase in various thresholds, it has to calm down. Google has become stricter in the control of application quality, developer qualifications and data issues, leaving many inexperienced developers helpless. Of course, Google’s strict attitude and policies today are also inseparable from the “contributions” of many developers in the past.
Failure to complete the verification required by Google on time will have the following impacts
On x month x day, 2024, your developer profile will be removed from Google Play, and all your apps will be removed as well
If Google finds that your developer account is abnormal or the information you provided is incorrect, it will remove your developer information from Google Play and remove your app as required, which will help protect user safety.
If the following issues are not resolved and approved before x month x day, 2024, your developer profile will be removed. All your apps will also be removed, as shown below.
The verification in the above case is Google Play merchant policy verification, and the reason is: Google cannot verify your merchant’s payment method, as shown above.
The consequences of failing to complete verification/failing to pass verification are almost the same as the failure to complete developer account verification in the new policy. You can refer to our earlier article “Google Play Developers: Please choose your preferred account verification deadline now”. The previous article mentioned that existing developer accounts must complete the new verification. If they fail to fully verify or pass the verification, the developer information will be removed and the app will be removed from the shelves. The consequence of this kind of removal and removal is also equivalent to account suspension, but this kind of account suspension is not caused by violations during the operation process, but only by timeout and failure to verify/timeout and failure to pass the verification. All previous status is normal.
As shown in the case above, it can be confirmed that after the new version of the developer policy in 2024, almost all types of policy verification failures and timeouts will result in the removal of developer accounts and apps.
Regarding the unknown verification of the existing policies, Dudu Studio will continue to pay attention and update the follow-up.
